Black History Month
On February 21st we came together in beautiful weather to celebrate and share knowledge and traditions as part of our Black History Month programming. Hassan Gale lead a fascinating simulation of the 1960s bus boycott with role playing aboard a school bus parked on the street. A multi-talented group of our neighbors shared readings from their own books and poetry, spoken word performances, dance, drumming, music, a libation ceremony and historical reflections. Thank you to everyone in our community who participated in this special day. Follow @120thmmm for more pictures from the day.
